Stray Angels

Stray Angels is NOT a rescue. We do not have the means, funds, or license to pull dogs from local animal control facilities or take dogs off the streets. We are strictly a group of dedicated and passionate volunteers that cross-post animals in need and try to find sponsorship, fosters, rescues, and anything else the animals may need. We also help with transports when needed. We all foster for local rescues and have our own fur babies at home. In addition to many area Animal Controls, we help an Illinois Animal Control facility get animals out of their facility before being euthanized. This Animal Control has strict rules we have to follow or we won’t be allowed to help.  No public adoptions are allowed at this facility. In order for these animals to get out, it has to be a licensed rescue. These animals have specific hold times when they come in and we cannot work with them until their hold time is up. We agree these rules do not make it easy for the animals to get to safety, but we are hoping that in the future some things can be changed. Until the rules change, if we want to help these animals, we have to follow every rule carefully. We appreciate all the followers, people sharing our posts, people stepping up to sponsor these animals, and the rescues for what they do. Together we can save them all!!!
